Definitions

• Add-on: The proprietary software known as "Flookup" or "Flookup Data Wrangler".
• App: The classic web-based application.
• Flookup AI web app: The data cleaning service at https://www.getflookup.com/flookup-ai/ hosted in the US on Google Cloud Run.
• Website: The website located at https://www.getflookup.com.
• You/Your: Any individual or legal entity using the Add-on, the app or interacting with the Website.
• We/Us/Our: The owner or developer of the Add-on and the app and operator of the Website.
• Personal Information: Email addresses, names or any other personally identifiable information we collect, including data processed or stored by the Add-on or the app.

The Add-on

Information Collection and Use in the Add-on

The Add-on does not collect, store, expose or transmit spreadsheet data as part of its manual data cleaning functionality. Your data is processed in a secure environment, accessible only to you. The permissions requested by the Add-on are detailed on our Get Started page and are strictly limited to what is necessary for its operation. We do not track you or your usage patterns when you interact with the Add-on.

When using the Add-on, you may be asked to provide your email address at the start of the payment process. Upon completion, the Add-on will process and store your payment information, including any relevant Personal Information, for license management purposes.

AI-Powered Features

Artificial intelligence features provided within the Add-on (available with specific plans) rely on third-party services, such as Gemini. When using these features, your data is processed according to the provider's privacy policy. Our transfer of information to and from Gemini APIs adheres to the Gemini privacy policy, including applicable data use requirements. Your processed data is not used to improve Gemini services and is only monitored for security purposes.

Third Party Services

Third party services and software used with the Add-on are subject to their own terms, conditions and privacy policies. The terms in this Privacy Policy do not apply to such third party services or software where inconsistent with their terms, conditions or privacy policies.

The Application

Information Collection and Use in the app

The app provides web-based data management tools. We collect necessary account and license information for service administration and support.

Data you process using the classic app is handled confidentially, transmitted securely and is not stored by us.

Data you process using the Flookup AI web app is stored only as described in the "Flookup AI web app" section below.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information. You retain all rights to your data, including the right to request deletion of your account information. Transmissions to and from the app are encrypted.

Free Browser Tools

Information Collection and Use in the Free Tools

We publish a set of free tools on the Website, including CSV Wrangler, the Fuzzy Matching Tool and CSV Diff. These tools run entirely in your browser.

Files you open, paste or process in the free tools are handled locally on your device. They are never uploaded to our servers, never stored by us and never used for any other purpose.

To let you resume a session, a tool may save a copy of your file and your recent steps in your browser's local storage. This copy stays on your device and can be cleared at any time by discarding the session or clearing your browser data.

The free tools do not require an account, an email address or any payment. Anonymous visit data is collected on the free tool pages in the same way as on the rest of the Website, as described in the "The Website" section below. No file contents are ever transmitted.

While using our Website, we may ask you to provide certain personally identifiable information that may be used to contact or identify you for licence-related purposes. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to, your name or email address.

We use Google Analytics to understand how our Website is used. Google Analytics collects the page URL and time spent using cookies and similar technologies. This data is processed by Google under its own privacy policy and is not combined with any personal information you provide to us.

Cookie Usage

This Website uses cookies for analytics through Google Analytics, alongside functional cookies set by embedded third-party services (such as payment processing and spam protection) where necessary for their operation.

Our affiliate programme is powered by Lemon Squeezy. On pages that display affiliate links, the Lemon Squeezy affiliate script may collect a browser fingerprint (including screen size, fonts, language and similar device characteristics) and transmit the page URL and referrer to Lemon Squeezy to attribute purchases. This does not identify you personally.

Security

The security of your Personal Information is important to us and protecting it is our priority. We use industry standard measures such as encryption, two-factor authentication and restrict database access to essential personnel only.

Your Personal Information is kept in strict confidence and is never shared with or sold to any third party, except that the Flookup AI web app uses the subprocessors listed in the "Flookup AI web app" section below, each receiving only the data it needs.

Notwithstanding the above and while we take all reasonable steps to keep your Personal Information secure and private, we cannot guarantee its absolute safety as no method of storage or transmission is completely infallible.

Flookup AI web app

Effective 3 September 2026. The Flookup AI web app at https://www.getflookup.com/flookup-ai/ is hosted in the US on Google Cloud Run. By signing in and using it, you agree to this section. We process only what you upload and what you buy.

What the Flookup AI web app collects

• Sign-in details including your Firebase UID and, on purchase, the email on your Google account.
• Files you upload including CSV, XLSX or ODS files up to 20 MB, the Mode and operation you pick, your prompt about what is dirty and the download type you chose.
• Retention choice including Delete right after download, Keep for 24 hours or Keep for 7 days. Your choice is always honoured.
• Voice notes recorded when you tap the mic button. Your browser records up to 60 seconds (max 5 MB) after you grant mic permission. The audio is sent for transcription only, then deleted immediately and never stored.
• Results including the cleaned file we return to you. The first 10 rows are shown as a preview.
• Account and credits including your balance, ledger and history. Packs include Growth and Scale. Pack credits never expire.
• Payment. PayPal processes your purchases. We see the transaction result and capture identifier, but never your card details. Checkout uses the same flow as getflookup.com.

How the Flookup AI web app uses it

• We process your files and voice notes securely to provide the cleaning service. Voice audio is used for transcription only and deleted immediately. Nothing is used for training or shared.
• We keep your credits and history and we keep your cleaned file for 24 hours or 7 days when you ask us to.
• We complete your PayPal purchases.
• We use reCAPTCHA to stop abuse.

Third parties for the Flookup AI web app

• Firebase from Google handles sign-in and hosting.
• AI provider processes your rows to clean them and never uses them for training.
• PayPal processes packs under PayPal's own policy.
• reCAPTCHA stops bots.
• Google Analytics counts page visits and records device data so we can see which pages are used. It never receives your files, prompts or results.

Each party receives only the data it needs.

Storage and deletion for the Flookup AI web app

We process your files in memory. If you pick Delete right after download (the default), we delete your dirty and cleaned files right after you download. If you pick Keep for 24 hours or 7 days, we keep only the cleaned file in a temporary bucket that deletes itself when time is up. You can press Delete now at any time. Your account, ledger and credits stay until you ask us to delete them. Hosting is in the US.

Security for the Flookup AI web app

Traffic is protected with HTTPS/TLS. Firebase verifies your sign-in. Credits change atomically on our server and we never store card details. Your files are deleted according to your choice.

Your choices for the Flookup AI web app

• Choose Delete right after download if you want us to keep nothing after you download.
• Choose Keep and we will keep your file until the time expires or until you press Delete now.
• To request access or deletion, contact us.

Future Privacy Policy Changes

This Privacy Policy is effective as of 1 March 2018 and will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in its provisions in future, which will be effective immediately after being posted on this page.

We reserve the right to update or change our Privacy Policy at any time and you are advised to check this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Add-on, the app or the Website after we post any modifications to the Privacy Policy on this page will constitute your acknowledgement of the modifications and your consent to abide by the modified Privacy Policy.
